Welcome our 2026-27 Conducting Intern

Please welcome Margot Cohen to the GFC family as our 2026-2027 intern! Margot is a second-year graduate student at Georgia State University, where she is pursuing a master’s degree in choral conducting under the direction of Dr. Deanna Joseph.

In addition to her graduate studies, Margot sings alto in the chancel choir at Shallowford Presbyterian Church and teaches private music lessons throughout the Atlanta area.

When she’s not making music, Margot enjoys musical theatre, reading, and video and board games. She’s also the proud dog mom of Luna, her 6-year-old Lab mix.

Fun Fact: Margot is left-handed and conducts left-handed! We’re delighted to have her with us and can’t wait to see all she brings to GFC this season. Welcome.
